"Chuck" Age 58, of Hinsdale, IL, at rest December 7, 2011. Beloved husband of Donna, nee: Evensen, and loving father of Will and Betsy. Cherished son of the late James J. "Spike" and the late Muriel M. Morgan. Dearest brother of Anne Morgan Salpeter and Thomas W. (Carolyn) Morgan and brother-in-law of Lynn J. (Jerry) Carnegie. Best uncle of Garrett and Greta Morgan Salpeter, James and Joseph Morgan, Jerry, Charles, Britt and Karin Carnegie. Fond son-in-law of Judith and the late Edward I. Evensen. Special nephew of Elizabeth Symmers, and the late Flora Morgan and William Morgan. Chuck was an avid reader, Civil War expert and car enthusiast. Most importantly, Chuck was a devoted husband and the best dad in the world - not only happy to tell stories, play board games and teach both Will and Betsy to drive, he was always present for them. He never missed any of Will or Betsy's sporting or school events and truly enjoyed every moment he had with them. Chuck was a great Santa at Christmas and kicked off every occasion with the most heartwarming toasts. Chuck had a brilliant sense of humor and even appeared in many clubs across Chicago as part of the comedy team of "Dave and Chuck." He attended Sts. Peter and Paul Grade School, Naperville Central High School, Class of 1971, Monmouth College, Class of 1975, and Loyola Law School, Class of 1978. Monday December 19th, Memorial Gathering at 10:00am Memorial Service 11:00 am at Christ Church of Oak Brook, 31st Street and York Rd; Oak Brook, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials by check, made out to the Chicago Community Foundation, and mailed to The Chicago Community Trust, Attn: Chip Fry, 111 E. Wacker Dr., Suite 1400, Chicago, IL 60601 would be appreciated. Please list "Charles S. Morgan Charitable Fund" in the memo line.
