About Mark Galway
Mark Galway, 46, died Tuesday, Aug. 3, 1999, at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in New York of complications from a bone-marrow transplant.

He was born July 28, 1953, in Detroit.

Formerly of Naperville, Mr. Galway was a resident of Allegany, N.Y. He married Rachel (Stokes) Galway on May 6, 1989, in Ellicotville, N.Y. A 1971 graduate of Naperville Central High School, he attended DuPage Community College and Northern Illinois University.

He received his bachelor's degree and master's degree in psychology from Western Illinois University.

He was an associate professor of psychology at Jamestown Community College, Olean Campus, since 1984. He was a member of the American Psychological Association and St. Helen's Church in Hinsdale, N.Y.

He is survived by his wife, Rachel Galway; two daughters, Katie Kickbush and Mollie Kickbush of Allegany, N.Y.; his mother, Rosemary Galway of Naperville; two brothers, Thomas (wife Leslie) Galway of Madison, Wis., and Michael (wife Sharon) Galway of Downers Grove; two sisters, Peggy Galway of Pittsburgh and Lisa Galway of Naperville; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, L. Patrick Galway, on May 17, 1998.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, Aug. 7, at the Holy Name of Mary Church in Ellicotville, N.Y. The Rev. Gregory Brennan officiated.

Interment was at Holy Cross Cemetery in Ellicotville, N.Y.
