About | PEORIA - Audrey Marie Brooks-Miller, 33, of Peoria passed away at 3:07 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 14, 2010, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born on Jan. 30, 1977, in Peoria to Thomas and Marilyn M. Martyn Brooks-Miller. Audrey is survived by her mother of Peoria; one brother, Rob Brooks-Miller of Peoria; her maternal grandmother, Eileen Martyn of Peoria; several aunts and uncles; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father; her maternal grandfather, William Martyn; and her fraternal grandparents, Don and Nancy Brooks-Miller. She was a graduate of Richwoods High School and a graduate of Illinois Central College. She was a C.N.A., last working for Bella-Vista Nursing Home. Audrey was very active in TEC and Cursillo. She loved family gatherings, especially during the holidays. She was very thoughtful in giving to so many during her lifetime, that in passing she also gave to others by donating her organs through the "Gift of Hope," so they could benefit by living a full life. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, where a memorial Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010, with Monsignor Jason Gray officiating. Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the church. Cremation rites will be accorded. Private burial of ashes will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in West Peoria. Wright & Salmon Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Peoria Cursillo/TEC Center or Peoria Rescue Ministries.
