| About | Obituary for Jean Marie Bailey Greenbrier — Jean Marie Bailey, 73, of Rogersville, TN returned to her Heavenly home on, July 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Jean was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend; roles she loved immensely. Nothing meant more to her than being a mother to her children and sharing in the lives of her family and friends. She had a calm spirit, a gentle kindness and endless patience. Although Jean was born in Chicago, far from her Tennessee home, she had that remarkable southern gift for making everyone feel welcome. There was always a pot of coffee brewing, a seat at her table, and an open heart for anyone who needed a friend. To know Jean was to feel heard, accepted, and loved. She cherished lifelong friendships and had a special ability to make new friends wherever life took her. Jean embraced life with enthusiasm, especially enjoying travel, spontaneous trips, attending festivals, and watching hometown parades. Jean was preceded in death by her beloved son, Charles (Heidi). She is survived by her children, Bill (Audra), Cathi (the late Tommy), and Tammy; her siblings, Jane (Jim), Joan (John), John (the late Mary Anne), and Judy; her grandchildren, Adam, Nickolas (Heather), Ashley (Brody), Brayzon, Brennon, and Sareniti; and her great-grandchildren, Lane (Kindall), Colby, Cannan, Carter, Kenzie, Lexi, Remi Mae and Paxton. She also leaves behind many dear friends and extended family members who will forever treasure the love, listening and quiet strength she shared so freely. A memorial service to celebrate Jean's life will be held at a later date. Although she will be deeply missed, Jean's legacy of unconditional love, unwavering friendship, and welcoming spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
