About | Sandy Parise, Marie Gilbert, and Edward Faircloth had been consuming cocaine for a three-day period between September 11 and 13, 1989. 33 year old Faircloth was the one injecting everyone and gave Sandy a little too much. Sandy's level was 2.86 milligrams, lethal level is 1.0 milligrams. I still visit Sandy at Resurrection Cemetery her in Romeoville. I have brought my children to let them know the dangers of drugs. I still have all the newspaper articles and have let them read them. Maybe me doing this is saving their lives. It has been almost 21 years since she has passed and I still think about her. I have many fond memories that will last me a lifetime, but I still miss her. My favorite is when she would come over to my house. I don't know why, but my dad would call her Wendy! She got a kick out of that and always went with it. I often think of where she would be right now if she was still here. Edward Faircloth of course went to prison. He appealed a few times but was denied. Faircloth died in 2006 of a heart attack while in Dixon Correctional Center. There are lots of us that miss you, Sandy. Rest in peace. Hopefully we will meet again... someday. |
