| About | About: Dale Thomas Hartledge, age 70, of Spartanburg, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Reid Hospital in Richmond. He was born on March 21, 1944 in Indianapolis to Carl Thomas and Margaret Beverly (Hart) Hartlage. Dale graduated Brownsburg High School in May, 1962 and 1966 Purdue University graduate. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was an Indianapolis International Airport Air Traffic Controller for many years. Afterwards, he owned a small business, Wood Dimensions at Fair Exchange in Richmond and Leather Hatchery in Metamora. Dale enjoyed wood crafting, art and traveling. He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Rosemarie (Longfellow) Cowen-Hartlage of and two step-sons, Rob Cowen of Brookville and Monte Cowen all 3 from Spartanburg; Indiana 3 step-grandchildren, Austin, Brandon and Chloe Cowen from Brookville; Indiana[ a sister, Beverly (husband Don) Stewart from Brownsburg; Indiana a nephew, Tom Stewart from Fishers; Indiana a brother-in-law, Harold Mickley from Cleveland, Ohio and in-laws, Charles and Virgina Houser from Elizabethtown, Indiana. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Mickley. Burial wias at Spartanburg, Indiana Cemetery. |
