| About | Robert U. "Bob" Salmon III lived at 11 W. Tilden Drive, Brownsburg, Indiana 46112 for most of his life. This home was owned previously by his parents. Bob was married to Brenda K Salmon, born April 1954. Bob graduated from Brownsburg High School on May 22, 1968. He played basketball during his Junior High School years at the College Avenue Gym portrayed in the movie "Hoosiers". Next, he attended Brownsburg High School and played basketball at 310 Stadium Drive's on its 4,078 seat gymnasium's basketball court. He was co-captain for the Freshman and Reserve teams for one year each. Subsequently, he played on the Varsity team from 1966 thru 1968 for 2 years. His Junior year, the 1966-1967 Varsity team was the Brownsburg Sectional Basketball Tournament's runner-up loosing by just 1 point. His Senior year, the Varsity team won the 1968 Brownsburg Basketball Sectional. Bob was a starting guard on the 1967-1968 squad. He scored 82 points by making 33 two point field goals and 16 of 29 free throws. The 1967-1968 varsity team was Brownsburg Sectional Runners-up. The 1968 Brownsburg Bulldog Sectional champions played the Indianapolis Regional at Hinkle Fieldhouse on the Butler Campus, also in "Hoosiers". The Buldogs lost the 1968 Regional Tournament's first game to Indianapolis Technological "Tech" High School. His basketball years were the highlights of his athletic career. Robert was a member of the letterman's club 4 years. Besides basketball, he lettered in other sports his Sophomore thru Senior years. He played football and baseball his Junior and Senior seasons. He joined the Boosters Club during his Junior and Senior years. Also, he was a member of Hi-Y Club as a Sophomore through Senior years. He was elected as his class's Treasurer his Senior year.
