| About | Daniel Eric Dick, 72, of Science Hill, passed away Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at his residence. He was born in Magnum, Kentucky on January 12, 1949; son of the late Robert Hershel and Winnie Marie Pitman Dick. He was a Brick Mason until his retirement. He was a member of King Bee Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wallace Dick; a daughter, Kimberly & (Robert) Stephens; a son, William Joseph & (Stephanie) Dick; two step sons, Tony Whiles, and Stacy Whiles; three sisters, Vivian & (Andrew) Cook, Karen & (Hobert) Haggard, and Melissa & (John) Blair; six grandchildren, Erica Dick, Rhianna Dick, Caleb Dick, Ryan Denton, Shantel Dykes, and Harley Whiles; nine great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Helen Dick. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Martin Dick, Orrin Dick. Daniel attended Brownsburg High School, Brownsburg, Indiana during his sophomore through senior year graduating there on May 26, 1967. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to the staff of V.A., Lifeline, and Hospice of Lake Cumberland. A funeral service was held on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home. Burial was in Mill Springs National Cemetery. Military Honors were conducted by American Legion Post #38 Honor Guard. |
