After a long battle with Lafora, a rare and fatal type of epilepsy, Natalie died at home when she was 21 years old. Her last full year of school was in the 8th grade. After that, she was only able to attend school sparingly due to her frequent seizures. She loved her friends from school and always wanted to be in school with them. She definitely appreciated everyone who came to visit her during those years. Her one request to me was to be sure that she would not be forgotten. She was a fabulous sister, a great friend, and she had more courage than any one person could ever have. She is very sadly missed by everyone who knew her. |
