Lee Ann Burkhart, 59, of Greensburg, passed away on Saturday, December 26, 2020 at her home surrounded by family and friends. She was born on January 11, 1961 in Greensburg to James and Jane (Kessler) Davis. Lee Ann worked various jobs throughout the years but spend most of her time as a homemaker. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She never met a stranger in her life and always had a conservation with everyone no matter what. She was famous for her apple cake, pies and cookies. She always loved to attend gatherings, sporting events and never missed anything that involved her family. Her three precious grandchildren were her life and they will miss her tremendously. She was like a “second mom” to many people. Lee Ann was married to Charlie Burkhart on May 12, 1979. She is survived by her husband; Charlie, one son; Ryan (Michelle Windholtz) Burkhart, one daughter; Amber (Brett) Abplanalp, three grandchildren; Sam, Raegan, and Aaron Abplanalp, two brothers; Brad (Carol) Davis, Chad (Cheryl) Davis, three sisters; Kim (Brian) Poole, Tammy Saylor, Jodi Davis, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. A private Mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Greensburg with Rev. John Meyer officiating and will be broadcast on the funeral home Facebook page on Thursday, December 31 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made in memory of Lee Ann to Our Hospice of South Central of Indiana or St. Mary’s School through the funeral home. |
