| About | Terry's Obituary Terry "Ted" Clingerman, aged 67, of West Lafayette, Indiana, passed away peacefully at Heritage Healthcare on the morning of January 28, 2025. Born on June 26, 1957, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Max Clingerman and Janet "Carol" Spence and the late Richard "Dick" Spence. Terry was a proud 1975 graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School and pursued further education in computer studies. Throughout his life, he worked in various roles, primarily as a truck driver. Terry had a passion for watching Gilligan's Island, old western movies, and true crime shows. He also enjoyed assembling train sets, watching movies of all genres, and visiting Indiana Beach. He is survived by his loving daughters, Jennifer, Heather, and Abbie Clingerman, and cherished grandchildren, Austin, Shelby, Kenzy, Jayden, Jaxon, and Carter, along with a great-grandson, Jasper. He is also survived by his mother, Carol Spence, and brother, Dave Spence. He was preceded in death by his father Max, stepfather Dick, his brothers Tony, Rick, and Joe, and his son, Terry Ted Clingerman II. Friends and family are invited to pay their respects from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 12 p.m. (noon) on Thursday, January 30, 2025, at Hartzler-Clapper Funeral Home of Brookston, with Pastor Terry Chase officiating. Interment will follow at Spring Vale Cemetery in Lafayette. |
