| About | Bruce Allen Hamm, 72, of Monticello, Kentucky, formerly from New Castle passed away Friday, October 02, 2026 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on August 18th, 1954 in New Castle to the late Howard and Marilyn Hamm. Bruce was a man of integrity, whose life was a testament to love, hard work and devotion to his family. A 1972 graduate of New Castle High School, he married the love of his life, Patricia (Hanley) Hamm on October 2nd, 1976. They were married exactly 50 years. Bruce worked at Chrysler Corporation for over 30 years, retiring in 2005 and moving to his family’s vacation home on beautiful Lake Cumberland in Kentucky. Bruce loved to fish and enjoyed the quiet serenity of the water. A faithful, longtime member of the Four Square Gospel Church and also Open Arms Church, Bruce was a man of great faith and conviction. Bruce found joys in forging knives and tools to use around the farm and above all, fishing and spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. As a devoted husband, father and grandfather, his greatest happiness came from spending time and providing for his beloved wife, Patricia. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Patricia Hamm; sons, Jacob (wife, Amy) Hamm and Joseph Hamm (Hannah Kelly); grandchildren, Andrew, Emily, Ayslee, Kaiden, Kylie, Isaiah, Elias and Josiah; and a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Hamm. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Lucas Hamm. |
| Events | A memorial service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, October 11, 2026 at Open Arms Church, 1618 Broad Street New Castle, IN with Pastors Paul Davis and Don Martin officiating.
