About MUNCIE - Cris Williams, 62, passed away peacefully after a long illness surrounded by her loved ones on Friday, August 19, 2016.

She was born April 6, 1954 in New Castle, Indiana to Evelyn Boatright. Cris was a 1972 graduate of Chrysler High School. She lived in the New Castle and Muncie areas most of her life.

She was always smiling and proved that you can overcome any obstacle and difficulty with a positive attitude. Cris was grounded in her faith and possessed a great work ethic. Over the years she was employed by Maxon Corporation, ABB, Overhead Door and for the last ten years she was a machine operator at Keihin. She served faithfully as a member of The Church of the Living God where she was part of the hospitality and women's fellowship ministries.

Cris enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. They were the light of her life. Cris loved to bake, Christmas cookies were a specialty and her Snickerdoodles, were second to none. When she was not spending time with her family or baking, she enjoyed watching the Hallmark Channel.

She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Toija and Keith Johnson; her grandchildren, Keith Jr. and Kaylyn Johnson; great-granddaughter, Skylar, all of Fishers, Indiana; two brothers, Danny Boatright and Mark (Jennifer) Boatright of New Castle, Indiana; her sista-friends, Ronda Foster, Janet Mason and Kathy Bradley; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Her mother, Evelyn Boatright; two brothers, Meredith Boatright and Rodney Boatright preceded her in death.

Services are 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at The Church of The Living God, 1120 East Washington St., Muncie.

Calling hours are 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday at the church.
