About | Alfred E. "Bud" Doll Sr., 64, Rushville, died Saturday at Hancock Memorial Hospital, Greenfield. Born July 31, 1934, in Rushville, he was the son of James E. and Helen (Edwards) Doll. On Sept. 12, 1957, he married Gladys Fay (Haley) Doll, and she survives. He was a 1952 graduate of Rushville High School and had worked at VECO for 42 years. A Korean War veteran, he served in the U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1960. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and Loyal Order of Moose. Other survivors include three sons, Alfred E. Doll Jr., Laurel, Scott A. Doll, Rushville, and William Travis Doll, St. Mary of The Woods; two daughters, Teresa Hauk, Manilla, and Tina Huffman, Rushville; two sisters, Rebecca Crowder and Susie Dailey, both of Rushville; a brother, Hank Doll, Florida; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter and two brothers. Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, with the Rev. Roger Rudolf officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rushville. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Hospital for Children. |
