About | Alma Jane Green, 64, of Greensburg, IN, passed away Monday, December 28th, 2009 at Community Hospital North in Indianapolis following an extended illness. Jane was born in Rushville, IN on November 20, 1945, the daughter of the late Glen and Dorothy L. (Robbins) Ellingwood. She was married to Maurice D. Green Feb. 11, 1968 and he preceded her in death Feb. 20, 1998. She was a 1964 graduate of Rushville High School and attended Ball State University. She was a long-time housewife and mother and later worked in retail for Lazarus (Macy's) and then Goody's until they closed in 2009. She enjoyed the hobbies of sewing, cross-stitching and knitting. Jane is survived by two daughters, Kathy (husband Charles) Brown of Rushville, Christal (husband Chuck) Precht of Greensburg; two sons Maurice D. (wife Amanda) Green II of Connersville & Joseph L. (wife Lisa) Green of Yorkville, IL; one sister Patricia Six of Greensburg and grandchildren Sara, Adam, Ryan, Danny, Charlie, Elijah, Leah, Spencer & Shelbie. In addition to her husband Maurice, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter. A Celebration of Life will be held 10am Thursday December 31, 2009 at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Phil Mitchel officiating. Burial will follow at Rush County's Goddard Cemetery. Friends may call from 4 to 8pm on Wednesday at Todd Funeral Home.
