About | Anita Carole Marlatt, 71, of Rush County, died Wednesday, April 9, 2008. Born Oct. 16, 1936 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Clarence and Edith (Ellison) Ruby, both deceased. She married Forrest L. Marlatt Dec. 5, 1954; he survives. Mrs. Marlatt was a lifelong Rush County resident. A 1954 graduate of Rushville High School, she was a homemaker and farm wife. She was a member of the Quilt Guild of Rush County. Survivors in addition to her husband include sons, Earl (Mary) Marlatt of Glenwood, Clifford (Julie) Marlatt and Paul (Amelia) Marlatt, both of Rushville; daughter, Alice Kay (David) McQueen of Rushville; brother, Richard Ruby of Rushville; sister, Joan Mullin of South Bend; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by brothers, Leland, Lowell and Maurice Ruby; and a sister, Phyllis Laurence. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville with Warren Engel officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Decatur County c/o the mortuary. |
