About | Bruce A Patterson, 50, of Rushville, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, March 27, 2015. He was born April 8, 1964 in Rushville to George "Jerry" Patterson & Faith (Bane) Sadler Hankins. Bruce was a 1982 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and later studied Computer Science at Ivy Tech. He married Rhonda Marie Andrews on November 3, 1989 and she survives. Bruce had lived in Decatur, Hartford City, Eaton and Muncie during his life. Bruce was store manager many years for 3D, Vals & Alco. He and Rhonda were Co-Founders in 2008 of Hearts for Africa; a Fair Trade Store and Unslaved; an organization that fights to end and interfere with human trafficing. He was a member of World Hope International since 2006 and owned an internet based clothing store called Cameo Collections. Bruce gave this life to Christ when he was 12 and was baptized by Rev. Kenneth Bates of the First Southern Baptist Church where he was a member for several years. He had been attending the college at Indiana Wesleyen Church in Marion, IN. He is survived by his wife, Rhonda, of Rushville, step-father & mother, David & Faith Sadler Hankins of Rushville, father, George "Jerry" Patterson of Van Buren, IN, a son, Justin Patterson of Marion and a daughter, Lauren Patterson-Swartz & husband Brandon of Muncie, step brothers, Wendall, Eric, Tim (Theresa) & Kent Sadler, Capt. Alex, Steve & Andrew "Chuck" Hankins & step sister, Kathryn Stufflebeam, extended family, Glen & Rodney Duke, aunts, Jeanie Ralstin, Priscilla (Darwin) Glover and Joyce Richardson and an uncle, Jack (Reba) Patterson, cousins, Terry Schlichter, Stuart Bane, Sherrell (Jay) Long, Jamie Bane, Joyce Ann Golden, Fred Bane Jr, Lorie Goodpaster, John Hahn Bane, Scott (Casandra) Paugh, Tammy (Eric) Fox, Charles (Penny) Paugh, Rosemarie (Jeff) Mix, Marianne Paugh, Brian Bane, April (Roger) Hassenzahl, Robbie (Theresa) Ralstin, Andy Jo Ralstin, Holly (Charlie) McVeigh and Heidi (Chad) Cupp. He was preceded in death by step-father, Clifton "Tip" Sadler, grandmother, Katherine Alford "Grandma Honey", brothers, Dwayne Patterson & 2 "angel" baby brothers, uncles Jim, Oliver Neil, Sherman, Fred, Howard & Kenneth and aunts Judy, Nancy Glover & Rosemary Paugh. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville where friends are welcome to visit from 4-8 PM on Tuesday evening, March 31. Pastor Judy Crossman will preside and burial will be in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard. |
