About | Charles Edward Butts, 89, of Rushville, passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012 at his home and in the company of family members. Born Sept. 2, 1922 in Rushville, he was the son of the late Walter and Clara Butts. He was the widower of Flossie Mae (West) Butts. He is survives by a daughter, Alona Martin of Rushville; a son, Charles E. (Linda) Butts of Arizona; granddaughters, Patricia (Robert) Moline of Stillwater, Okla. and Melissa (John) Kibby of Connersville; grandsons, Norman (Kimberly) Martin Jr. of Spiceland and Michael Butts of Arizona; 10 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren. Mr. Butts was a self-employed owner of Flossie's Market in Centerville. He was a US Army veteran of World War II. He had also been a farmer and was a former groundskeeper at the Rushville Elks Golf Course. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville with the Rev. Phil Mitchell officiating. |
