About | Chester T. Keith, 86, Rushville, father of a Fairland woman, died Sunday at Rush Memorial Hospital. Born Oct. 2, 1912, in Rushville, he was the son of Salem and Anna (Jenkins) Keith Sr. He married Lois (Sipes) Keith on July 31, 1937, and she survives. A 1934 graduate of Rushville High School, Mr. Keith was a factory worker at RCA Corp. in Indianapolis for 11 years. He was a member of First Pentecostal Church of Rushville, where he had served as a church board member. Survivors include three daughters, Iva Lou Hartwess, Fairland, Karolyn Kay Emery, Odessa, Fla., and Barbara Anne Whitman, Lexington, N.C.; two sons, Chester "Tom" Keith, Southport, and Joseph L. Keith, Rushville; two sisters, Belva Clark and Wyverine Copley, both of Rushville; a brother, Salem Keith Jr., Cour De' Laine, Idaho; 15 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four brothers, three sisters and one grandchild. Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, with the Rev. Dennis Bowman officiating. Burial will be in East Hill Cemetery, Rushville. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
