About | Major Connie Frazee Fletcher, 51, of Rock Falls, IL, died Friday, December 24, 1999 at CGH Medical Center in Sterling. Born December 4, 1948 in Rushville, IN, she was the daughter of Robert and Pauline (Owens) Frazee. Connie was raised by her Step-father, Manford J. "Whimpy" McCane (1916-1973). See Find A Grave for information on Manford. Connie married Major Michael Fletcher and he survives. Connie graduated from Rushville High School in 1967; she graduated from The Salvation Army College for Officer Training in Chicago, IL in June of 1976 and holds a commission and ordination credentials from the Salvation Army; she has attended college at Oakland University in Rochester, MI and completed computer courses at Waukesha County Technical College in Waukesha, WI; she has been a Salvation Army officer for 23 years and served in its various ministries throughout the midwest. Surviving besides her husband are two sons, Sean Fletcher of Chicago and Nathan Fletcher of Morrison, IL; one daughter, Erin of Rock Falls; one sister, Vivian Stevens of Rushville; five brothers, Frank and James Frazee, and Clay and Oscar McCane, all of Rushville, Larry Frazee of Rapid City, SD; two grandchildren, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 27, 1999 at the McDonald Funeral Home in Rock Falls. Burial followed at the Riverside Cemetery in Sterling, IL. The family requested memorials be made to the Salvation Army of Sterling/Rock Falls for its Mission of Helping Others. |
