About | David M. Singleton, 79, of Hot Springs Village, Ark., died at Odyssey Hospice in National Park Medical Center on May 21, 2009. Mr. Singleton was born March 12, 1930, in Rushville, Ind., to the late Ebson Singleton and Bertha Halterman Singleton. He graduated from Rushville High School in 1948. He served in the Air Force, was a Free & Accepted Mason, a member of Scottish Rite, Eastern Star, and Amaranth. He was also a member of the Presbyterian Kirk in the Pines Church. Mr. Singleton is preceded in death by his mother and father; brothers: Bob Singleton, Charles Singleton, Nick Singleton; and sister Betty Melander. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Barbara L. Singleton of Hot Springs Village; three stepsons, Clifton Lee Jones and wife Vicki of Indianapolis, Ind., Robert Joe Jones and wife Cynthia of Greencastle, Ind., William Allen Smith and wife Kristin of Peculiar, Mo.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
