About | Debra L. Anderson, 50, of Hanover and formerly of Rushville, died Sunday, Feb. 18, 2007 at her home. Born Oct. 11, 1956 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Clifford and Helen (Pence) Messer; her father, a Rushville resident, survives. She married Roger L. Anderson Dec. 18, 1982; he survives. Mrs. Anderson lived in Rush County until 1994 at which time she moved to Hanover. She was a 1974 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and a 1978 graduate of Franklin College. She worked as a clerk at the Madison Wal-Mart for 12 years, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Calvary Wesleyan Church in Madison. Survivors in addition to her father and husband include one step daughter, Melanie (Mrs. Ron) Jarman of Rushville; five brothers, Ron Messer of Florida, and Don Messer, Wayne Messer, Tim Messer and Bill Messer, all of Rushville; three sisters, Beverly (Mrs. John) Ellis of Bedford, Ky., Patricia Ray of North Vernon and Brenda Messer of Hanover; and one step granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her mother. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville with Pastor Monty Mahoney officiating. Burial will follow in Rush County’s Little Blue River Wesleyan Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Wesleyan Church in Madison and from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Moster & Cox Mortuary in Rushville.
