| About | Edith A. Beard, 83, a life long Rushville resident, passed away at her home September 13, 2014. She was born December 29, 1930 in Rushville to Clarence & Marie (Gross) Kennedy. She was a 1948 graduate of Rushville High School. Edith married William J. Beard on January 1, 1949 and her preceded her in death on June 5, 1996. Edith worked many years for Schnadig Corporation in Rushville doing secretarial work and as a clerk in the mailroom. She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Click & husband Mark of Rushville & Brenda Dearinger & husband Philip of Rushville, a son-in-law, Jeremy Jobe of Connersville, grandchildren, Todd & wife Jamie Click of Rushville, Craig & wife Lauren Click of Indianapolis, Kristy Sweet of Connersville & Doug & wife Rachael Click of Mt. Pleasant, SC and great grandchildren, Leah Sweet, Kerrigan & Hayden Click, Lincoln, Adelyn & Charlotte Click. Edith was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, William Robert Beard, a daughter, Beverly Jobe and brothers, Wilfred & Gene. Services will be held at 1 PM Saturday, September 20, 2014 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, where friends are welcome to visit from 11 AM until time of service. Rev. Roger Abraham will preside and burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Beverly Jobe House of Love in Connersville. |
