| About | Elizabeth Dara Gaunt, 56, a former resident of Rushville and graduate of the Rushville Consolidated High School, Class of 1977, died Saturday, Aug. 1, 2015, in Lake County, California, at the age of 56. She was born in Lafayette on Dec. 27, 1958. She received a Bachelor of Arts with a major in telecommunications from Indiana University in 1981. There she was a member of the Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority. She moved to San Francisco, Calif., in 1990. In 1992, she earned a Master of Science in Counseling (Marriage, Family & Child) from San Francisco State University. She then moved to Santa Rosa and worked there for years as a substance abuse counselor. Beth is survived by her only son, Dane P. Shikman; her mother, Rhea S. King; father, David W. Gaunt; and her four brothers, Mike, Tom, David and Paul. She will be dearly missed by family and friends. Beth always had a warm place in her heart for Rushville and the friends she made there.
