About | Evelyne Bundrant Wills, 86, of Kalamazoo, Mich., died Wednesday, Feb. 23. She was born on Sept. 30, 1913, in Rushville, Ind., to Luther and Ethel (Heathcock) Bundrant. She graduated high school in Rushville and attended Indiana University. She married Robert Iliff Wills on Dec. 28, 1938. She worked for doctors Darnell and Patton before beginning her career with the U.S. government. She first worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base and retired from the Defense Electronics Supply Center in 1982. She was a voracious reader and loved working on crossword puzzles. She was also a wonderful cook. In her later years, she moved to Kalamazoo to be closer to her daughter. There, she attended Ecumenical Senior Center and Covenant Senior Day Program. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, Leland Bundrant. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Wills Comer; two brothers, Mark Bundrant and his wife Barbara of Indianapolis, Ind., and Kenneth Bundrant and his wife Helen of Connorsville, Ind.; sister-in-law Mabel Scott of Rushville, Ind.; two granddaughters, Cristina Comer of Atlanta, and Cheryl Darden and her husband Kenneth of Ann Arbor, Mich.; two great-grandsons, Kenneth and Michael Darden; nieces; nephews; other relatives and friends. ARRANGEMENTS: Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28, at Hall-Jordan Memorial Chapel, 918 S. Main St., Middletown. Visitation will begin an hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Butler County Memorial Park. MEMORIALS: Memorial contributions may be made to the Student Advancement Fund in the Grand Rapids Public Schools or to the Ujima Project of Kalamazoo, Mich. Burial: Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton, Butler County, Ohio. |
