| About | Frances C. Owens 84, of Columbus, passed away January 11, 2014 at Kindred Health Care in Columbus. A Celebration of Life will be 1:00 PM Wednesday January 15th at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory in Rushville, with Rev. Jeremy Gries officiating. Friends are invited Wednesday at 11 AM. Burial will follow at Rushville’s Calvary Cemetery. Frances was born April 4, 1929 in Peppertown, IN the daughter of the late Fred and Catherine (Wesling) Stirn. She graduated from Rushville High in 1947 and married Louis C. Owens November 25, 1948 (pictured above) and he passed away December 19, 2004. She was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church. Left to cherish her memory include two daughters, Mindy (Dave) Houchins of Hope, Lisa (Troy) Barnes of Columbus; two sons Tony (Michelle) Owens of Columbus and Steve (Candy) Owens of Connersville; grandchildren Chad Houchins, Kimberlie Teltoe, Katy Barnes, Hanna Barnes, Hilary Owens, Claire Owens, Terry Owens, Shelby Owens, Drake Maddix, Delaney Maddix, Jason Graves & Nicole Martin; three great grandchildren Taylor, Maddi & Kaileigh and 10 step great grandchildren also survive. A sister-in-law Bonnie Stirn of Big Rapids, MI, and many nieces and nephews also survive.
