About | Genevieve Evelyn Dalrymple, 88, of Casa Grande, Arizona, died on March 29, 2015 at her home with family by her side. She was born Oct. 1, 1926 in Indiana to Charles Hollis and Dorothy Littell Southerland. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1944. While in Indiana she worked at Cross's Cleaners and International Furniture in Rushville. In the late 1980's, she moved to Arizona to be with her family. While there she worked as a seamstress and alterations clerk in Casa Grande, and continued her work from home after retirement. She was a former member of Sweet Adelines, loved doing crossword puzzles, watching Diamondbacks games, and was well-known for her knitting and crocheting. She enjoyed giving her finished products to family, friends and customers. She also did numerous projects for the First Presbyterian Church of Casa Grande, Arizona of which she was a member. She is survived by a son, Donald (Billie) of Casa Grande, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Robert Dalrymple of Casa Grande, Lisa Maloy of New Mexico, and Laurie Graack of California; eight great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; two great-great grandsons, and one step great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother and a sister. Graveside services will be held at Arlington East Hill Cemetery in Arlington at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Compassus in Casa Grande, Arizona or the Alzheimer's Association. |
