About | George I. "Pappy" Miller, 85, a lifelong Rush County resident, passed away at 2:30 AM Friday, June 17, 2011 in Greenfield, IN. Born December 10, 1925 in Rush County to John and Marcella (Coyne) Miller. He married Norma Redden on July 13, 1946 and she preceded him in death on March 31, 2006. George farmed in Rush County & was a feed salesman for many years. He was a 1944 graduate of Rushville High School. He was a past member of the Main Street Christian Church and present member of the Shelbyville Community Church. He was a 40+ year member of the Rushville Elks Lodge #1307, Rush County 4H Fair Board member many years, founding father of the Muskrats of Rush County and weekend warrior for 33 years at Twin Forks Campground at Brookville Lake. Pappy will always be known for his fun loving nature. He leaves behind his daughter, Karen & husband Rick Woods of Palm Harbor, FL, son, Mike and wife Cheryl Miller of Rushville, brother, John & wife Audrey Miller of Melbourne, FL and grandchildren, Dylan & wife Leah Miller of Wellington, FL and Jessica & husband Corey Young of Campbellsville, KY. In addition to his parents and wife, George was preceded in death by a brother, Richard. Pastor Brad Davis will preside.
