About | Mrs. Hellen K. Ross, 72, of 530 North Perkins, died early Thursday at the Rush Memorial Hospital. She was born on April 25, 1907, in Rush County, the daughter of Herman H. and Ruby Powell Minneman (1881-1984). On April 22, 1951, she married Gibson Ross, Sr., who died on September 20, 1965. She had spent her entire life in Rush County. She was a member of the main Street Christian Church. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1925, Indiana Business College and Indiana University with a L.L.B. degree. She was also a member of the Indiana Women Lawyers, the Rush County Bar Association, Phi Delta Delta Fraternity, American Legion Auxiliary, the Women's Council, and served as secretary of the Salvation Army Board for many years. Besides her work as an attorney, she was also an abstractor of titles. Surviviors include her mother, Mrs. Ruby Minneman of Rushville; three brothers, William Lloyd Minneman (1917-1982)and Dalton Carroll Minneman (1923-1998) both of Rushville, and John Forrest Minneman of Bethesda, Maryland; one sister Miss Dorthy Frances Minneman of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Moster and Sons Mortuary with Rev. Paul Palusko in charge. Emtombment will be in the East Hill Mausoleum.
