| About | Janet L. Newhouse, 82, of Rushville, died at 10:20AM, on April 26, 2008 at St. Vincent Hospice in Indianapolis. Janet was born May 2, 1925 in Rushville, Indiana to the late William F. & Dorothy (Brecheisen) Rehme. She married John E. Newhouse July 27, 1943 and he died July 24, 2003. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a 1943 graduate of Rushville High School. Janet worked at the Rush County Health Department for 18 years as the medical services coordinator. She also worked at Rushville National Bank and was secretary for the Indiana Funeral Directors Association for then Executive Director Frank Moore. Survivors include sons Bill (wife Sharon) of Verona, WI, John Jr. of Ft. Collins, CO, Chris of Rushville, IN, Phillip (wife Amy) of Indianapolis, IN, and Tony (wife Marsha) of Athens, TN; daughter Teresa (husband Lynn) Gorrell of Indianapolis, IN; sister Beth Sheets of Ft. Wayne, IN; uncle Harold Brecheisen of Rushville, IN; Eleven Grandchildren and Nine Great Grandchildren also survive. She is preceded by Husband John, Daughter Deborah, brother Dick Rehme A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11am Tuesday April 29, 2008 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with Rev. William Turner officiating. Visitation will be held 5 to 8 PM Monday April 28th at Todd Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:30 PM. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery Rushville, IN, following the funeral. |
