| About | Jeanette Alice Smith, 85, died Sept. 23, 2008. Born Sept. 16, 1923 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Sidney Arthur and Fern Belle (Finley) Cummins, both deceased. She married James W. Smith July 5, 1946; he preceded her in death Aug. 19, 2008. Mrs. Smith had worked at the former Rushville Water & Light Office and was a homemaker. Her memberships include DAR; OES Martha Poe Chapter #143 (50-year member); Kappa Delta Phi; and Main Street Christian Church. She graduated from Rushville High School in 1941. Survivors include daughter, Karen Ann Smith of Rushville; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Minister Robert L. Harris officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery.
