| About | Jessy Lee McClure, 16, of Rushville, died Sunday, July 28, 2002, at Rush Memorial Hospital in Rushville. Born April 17, 1986, in New Castle, she was the daughter of Candy Blevins McClure of New Castle and Kelly McClure of Rushville; both survive. Ms. McClure had lived in New Castle most of her life and had lived in Rushville the past year. She attended New Castle schools and was a cheerleader in grades 5-8. She was a member of New Castle Middle School Band and New Castle YMCA. She attended N Avenue Church of God's Christian youth program. She attended Rushville Consolidated High School last year and would have been a junior this fall. Survivors in addition to her mother and father include her stepmother, Susan McClure of Rushville; one sister, Jenny McClure of Rushville; one stepbrother, Brandon Bowling of Rushville; maternal grandparents Noel and Lillie Blevens and Joan Blevins, all of Rushville; and paternal grandmother Katie McClure of New Castle; maternal great-grandmothers Mary Wantz and Clarice Blevins, both of New Castle; paternal great-grandmother Ethel McClure of New Castle; paternal step-grandparents Richard and Mary Jo Washmuth of Shelbyville; a nephew, Branson Aker of Rushville; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather and one uncle. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church in New Castle, with the Rev. Bobby Slagle officiating. Macer-Hall Funeral Home in New Castle is in charge of arrangements. Burial will follow in South Mound Cemetery, West Lawn Addition in New Castle. Friends may call from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jessy McClure Memorial Scholarship in care of the Henry County Community Foundation. |
