| About | Jimmy Allen Barnes 64, of Rushville, passed away Jan. 23, 2016 at St. Francis Hospital Indianapolis. He was born in Rushville Mar. 24, 1951 a son of the late Francis L and Betty Lou Rankin Barnes. He married Carolyn Sue Wainscott June 25, 1994 in Rays Crossing, IN and she survives. He graduated from Rushville Consolidated High School Class of 1969 and was retired from the Trane Corporation after 35 years of service. Jimmy loved flying his RC planes and working with wood. He was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Jimmy leaves behind his wife, Carolyn Sue Barnes; two daughters, Sabrina (Mrs. Darren) Case and Tabatha Barnes all of Rushville; three grandchildren Devyn Case, Andrew Case and Abagale Trimnell. Three brothers, Francis (wife Judy) Barnes of Berwyn, IL, Fred Barnes, J. Albert (wife Debbie) Barnes; one sister Daisy (Mrs. Lawrence) Armstrong and his close friend and mother to his children Diane Hooten all of Rushville also survive. A Celebration of Life will be 10 AM Wednesday Jan. 27th at Todd Funeral Centre & Crematory with Warren Engle officiating. Visitation is on Tuesday Jan. 26th from 4 until 8 PM. Burial will be at the Goddard Cemetery Rush County. The family has asked for memorials to be made to The Transverse Myelitis Association 1787 Sutter Parkway Powell OH 43065-8806.
