| About | Joan Lacy Moore, 83, of Mission, Texas and formerly of Rushville, died April 2, 2009. Born March 10, 1926 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Lester and Delores Pollitt, both deceased. She married Dale Lacy June 10, 1944. He preceded her in death in April 1960. She married Wilbur G. Moore June 30, 1961; he survives. Mrs. Moore graduated from Rushville High School in 1944. She worked at International Furniture in Rushville for several years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Rushville most of her life and later transferred her membership to the First Presbyterian Church in Mission, Texas. Survivors in addition to her husband include sons, Dan E. (Jeanne) Lacy of Rushville and Monty D. (Pat) Lacy of Plano, Texas; daughters, Bev (Bobby) Franz of White Springs, Fla. and Kim A. Dye of Rushville; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; brother, Bob Pollitt of Athens, Ala.; sisters, Mary Cathey of Greensburg, Phyllis Dugan of Shelbyville and Carolyn Leising of Connersville. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Lou Ellen Cathey. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church in Mission, Texas. Mrs. Moore's remains will be buried June 27, 2009 in East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. A memorial service for friends and family members will be held at East hill Cemetery June 27, 2009. |
