About | John E. Dusing, 70, died Sunday, Aug. 7, 2011 at Hancock Regional Hospital. Born April 12, 1941 in Rushville, he was the son of Herman and Dorothy (Hickman) Dusing. He graduated from Rushville High School in 1958, and served in the U.S. Army Reserve. John worked as a plant scientist at both Eli Lilly in Greenfield and Dow Elanco in Zionsville. He was also a part owner of Superior Tractor (formerly Hancock Co. Tractor). Surviving him are his children, Matt (and wife, Amy) Dusing of Franklin and Maria (and husband, Todd) Petrey of Mason, Ohio; former wife, Marcia (Strait) Noon; sister-in-law, Jeanette Dusing; niece, LeeAnne (Dusing) Ziegler; and two grandchildren, Hayden Petrey and Will Dusing. Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Joe Dusing. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10, 2011 at Erlewein Mortuary in Greenfield. Funeral services will begin at 2 p.m., following the visitation, at the mortuary. Deacon Wayne Davis will be officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery in Rushville.
