About | John Jared Miller, 69, of Batesville, passed away at his home in Batesville on March 24, 2013. He was born September 8, 1943 in Indianapolis to John Clark & Joanne (Coffin) Miller. He was a 1961 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School and attended IU. Jared joined the US Navy and served from 1961-1967. He was aboard the USS Kitty Hawk and served during the Vietman War. He married Donna McDaniel on February 10, 1973 and she survives. Jared spent his early life in Rushville. He had lived in Batesville for 25 years. He worked many years at the Trane Corporation in Rushville and was a deputy on the Franklin County Sheriff's Department until 1978. He also worked in the food service industry and did construction work for various companies. He is survived by his mother, Joanne Miller of Rushville, his wife, Donna of Batesville, daughters, Ruth Anne & husband Willie Geis of Brookville, Denise & husband Kevin Britch and Stephanie Miller all of Batesville, brothers, Tom "Turkey" Miller of Hamilton, OH., David & wife Mona Miller, Mark Miller and James "Rookie" Miller all of Rushville, sisters, Carolyn Cameron, Sara & husband Greg Mosley and Jean & husband Scott Kopf all of Rushville and Cynthia Fincher of Greenfield, grandchildren, Bethany & Carly Wagers, Hunter Geis, Bella & Gavin Britch and Tyler Kissell. Jared was preceded in death by his father and an infant daughter, Jessica Marie Miller. Services will be held at Noon on Wednesday, March 27 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville, with Rev. Tom Marshall presiding. Friends may visit at the mortuary from 10AM until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be in the Rushville East Hill Cemetery. The Rush County Veteran's Honor Guard will provide military rites. |
