| About | Judith Anne Meckes, 77, of Atlanta Georgia, past away Monday, September 25, 2006. Born January 23, 1929 in Rushville. Daughter of Julius and Margaret (Sumpter) Myers. She married Donald J. Meckes on Wednesday, November 23, 1947. The ceremony was performed by Rev. Ralph Schweizer at St. Mary's Catholic Church followed by a reception at the Durbin Hotel attended by two hundred guests. Mrs. Meckes graduated from Rushville High School in 1947. Her high school career included several Clubs, Choir, andYell Leader. As a contributor to the Holcad she authored the senior class sentiments titled '47 WAS HERE. Mrs. Meckes was a Homemaker for thirty years, followed by a career in Property Management, and retirement in 1989. Survivors include two sons Mark and Eric, daughter-in-law Kellie, grandson Morgan, and granddaughter Evelyn all of Alpharetta Georgia; brother and sister-in-law Julian & Diana Myers of Lady Lake Florida; nine nieces and nephews located in Indiana, Texas, and Arizona. In addition to her parents, husband Don who died in May of 1973 preceded Mrs. Meckes in death. Visitation will be held October 7, 2006 at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville at 10:00 a.m. Saturday. Followed by a noon graveside burial service to be performed by Rev. William Turner at Calvary Cemetery. |
