| About | June Charlene (Newhouse) Crews, 80, of Greenfield, formally of Bloomington, passed away Apr. 18, 2010 at Regency Place Nursing Center in Greenfield. June was born in Rush County, IN on May 11, 1929, the daughter of the late Herschel M. and Esther M (Waggoner) Newhouse. She was a graduate of Rushville High School in 1947. She married Charles Ferris Crews July 7, 1962 and he preceded her in death Feb. 9, 1970. She was retired from the State of Indiana FSSA (social services) as a supervisor after 55 years of service and was a member of the BPW many years. June is survived by a niece Cindy (Jeff) Huffman of Pendleton, IN; four nephews Ronnie (Mari) Davis of Salt Lake City, UT, Stanton (Arlene) Davis, Tom (Reba) Newhouse & Rob Newhouse all of Rush County; She is also survived by Several Great Nieces & Nephews. June is preceded in death by one Brother, Duane Newhouse & one Sister, Martha Davis Darling. A Celebration of Life Service at 11am on Wednesday April 21st, at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Tony Augsburger of the Raleigh Christian Church officiating. Friends are invited to call Wednesday from 9:30am until the time of the ceremony at Todd Funeral Home. Burial will follow late that afternoon at Valhalla Memory Gardens in Bloomington, IN.
