| About | Kathleen E. Keaton, 92, passed away Jan. 6, 2012 in San Marcos, Texas. Born June 27, 1919 in Rush County, she was the daughter of Francis Tilden and Lela Estel (Kiser) Thatcher. She married Walter B. Keaton Aug. 13, 1938; he preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1980. She was a Rushville High School graduate. For 20 years she was the Rush Circuit Court Reporter for the Honorable William F. Marshall. She was the office manager for Keaton and Keaton, working for her husband until his death and then for her son, William B. Keaton, until her retirement in 1986. Survivors include children, John Richard Keaton of Florida, Susan Jane Pace (Michael) of San Marcos, Texas, Thomas and Alan Keaton of Santa Cruz, Calif., and William B. Keaton (Rita) of Arlington; eight grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren. There will be a graveside service Monday, Jan. 16, 2012 in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery beside her beloved husband.
