| About | Kathryn Elizabeth Earnest, 93, a lifelong Rushville resident, passed away at Miller's Merry Manor in Rushville on Sunday, December 18, 2011, joining her husband Bob of 68 years. She married him on May 3, 1941 and he preceded her in death on September 5, 2009. Katy was born in Rushville on November 21, 1918 to Russell and Ida (Rettemier) Baringer. She graduated from Rushville High School and the Indiana School of Beauty. She was a lifelong member of the Main Street Christian Church and was a member of the Rush County Health Board among other activities. Katy is survived by two sons, Terri & wife Cathy of Oro Valley, AZ and Lante & wife Jill of Carmel, IN, three grandchildren, Holly, Toban and Taylor and twelve nieces and nephews, many of whom provided loving companionship during her long, valiant battle with Alzhiemer's disease. In addition to her parents and husband, Katy was predeceased by her brother, Myron. Services will be held at 1 PM Thursday, December 22 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville where friends are welcome to visit from 11 AM until time of service. Sam Davenport will preside and burial will be in the Arlington East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rush County Community Foundation, 117 N.
