| About | Keith D. Michel, 72, a life long Rushville resident, passed away January 24, 2014 in Rushville. He was born November 9, 1941 in Connersville to Harold H. & Leona (Krinop) Michel. He was an E4 in the US Army veteran, serving from 1963-1965. He was in the US Army reserves after service until 1969. Keith was a 1960 graduate of Rushville High School. He worked for the State Auditor's Office in Indianpolis and the State Highway Department in Greenfield before opening & operating Michel's Bike Shop in Rushville from 1974-1995. Keith was a life long member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church. He is survived by his brothers, Delbert & wife Sally Michel of Suttons Bay, MI and Carl & wife Sondi Michel of St. Cloud, FL, nephews, David & wife Kim Michel of Columbus, OH and James Michel & Dee McLaughlin of Eagle Rock, CA, nieces, Pam & husband Greg Simms of Valparaiso, IN, Jane & husband Jay Minnick of Liberty, MO and Susan & husband Scot Bryce of Munster, IN, several great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins also survive. Keith was preceded in death by his parents. Services will be held at 1 PM Monday, January 27 at Moster Mortuary, Rushville where friends are welcome to visit after noon until time of service. Burial will be in the Mud Pike Cemetery in Ripley County. Pastor Jan Dimick will preside. Memorial contributions may be made to the Activities Fund at Flatrock River Lodge or the St. Paul's United Methodist Church. |
