| About | Kristopher A. “Kris” Washmuth, 33, Lapel, passed away Wednesday, February 10, 2016. He was born on December 6, 1982, in Rushville, Indiana to Timothy and Kim (Nigh) Washmuth. He graduated from Connersville High School in 2001 and was a U. S. Army veteran who served two tours in Iraq. Kris worked for Fargo Insulation in Indianapolis. He was a member of the West Cross Street Alliance Church in Anderson; was an avid runner; and loved his RC cars. He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Lindsay (Knepp) Washmuth; three children, Georgia, Brooks, and Scarlet; his mother and step-father Kim and Timothy Howard of Greenfield; his father and step-mother, Timothy and Diane Washmuth of Falmouth; two brothers, Joshua (wife, Tracy) Washmuth of Rushville and Eric Howard of Whiteland; a sister, Alisha (husband, Justin) Lenning of Morristown; grandfather, Richard (wife, Jo) Washmuth of Shelbyville; a step-brother, Sam (wife, Nikki) Maxwell of Fishers; and step-grandparents, Curtis and Sue Howard of Rushville. A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm Saturday, February 13, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Robert Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, February 12, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel. Memorial contributions may be made to Mission 22, 5400 Etta Burke Court, Suite 202, Raleigh, NC 27606. KRIS DID NOT GRADUATE FROM RCHS BUT HE SPENT HIS ELEMENTARY GRADES AT RES.
