About | Kyle Joseph Henderson, 19, of Glenwood, died Sept. 6, 2008. Born Sept. 14, 1988 in Richmond, he was the son of Rodney and Loretta (Messer) Henderson; both survive. Mr. Henderson was a 2007 graduate of Rushville Consolidated High School. A lifelong Rush County resident, he worked for Marlatt Heating & Cooling and attended Ivy Tech in Connersville and Richmond. He attended Northwestern Ohio University for one semester prior to entering the Construction Technology program at Ivy Tech, specializing in heating and cooling. He was a member of Glenwood United Methodist Church. He was a firefighter and first responder with the Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department. He was very active in FFA in which he was a Sentinel. He was also active in soils judging, was a 10-year 4-H member, was an Electric Leader in 4-H Junior Leaders and was a member of Key Club. Survivors in addition to his parents include a brother, Joshua of home; sister, Alisa of Chicago, Ill.; grandparents, Carl and Marge Henderson of Centerville; three aunts; two uncles; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by grandparents, Fred and Wanda Messer. Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Laughlin Center on the RCHS campus with Pastor Phil Mitchell officiating. A firefighter honor guard will be present throughout the evening as well as during visitation, which will take place from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville. Burial will take place in Rushville’s East Hill Cemetery. Memorial contributions are requested in a memorial fund being established at the Rush County Community Foundation or to the Glenwood Volunteer Fire Department. |
