| About | Leanna Rae (Lowder) Steele, 50, died Saturday Nov. 23, 2013 in Indianapolis. She was a resident of Indianapolis. She graduated from Ball State University. She was a teacher for 20 years in the Indianapolis Public Schools. She married Bill Steele on Oct. 24, 1993 in Bloomington. They were married for 20 years. Leanna enjoyed reading, professional sports and was an Indianapolis Colts fan. Survivors include her husband, Bill Steele of Indianapolis, mother, Judith (James) (Brammee) Whitesitt of Wilkinson, a daughter, Hannah Rae Steele of Indianapolis, sister, Leslie Bailey of Bloomington and brother, Steve (Chris) Lowder of Arizona. She was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Lowder. A funeral service will be conducted at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday Nov. 26, 2013 at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 U.S. Hwy 31 North.
