| About | Louis W. Heckman 84, of Rushville died OCT 5, 2003 at Rush Memorial Hospital. Born in Rushville AUG 8, 1919 he was the son of Henry & Mary Schattner Heckman. He married Evelyn Harpring JUN 1, 1949 and she survives. He graduated from Rushville High in 1937 and was a Army Air Corps veteran of WWII. He owned and operated the Gulf Oil Bulk plant in Rushville form man years also retired from Ford Assembly in Indianapolis. He was a member of the UAW Local 1111 and the St. Mary Catholic Church. Survivors beside his wife include daughters Sharon (Mrs. Bob) Miller of Greensburg, Marilyn, (Mrs. Roy) Mohr of Rushville, and LouEllen Heckman (and Husband Greg Mark)of Randolph, NJ; three Grandchildren, several nieces & nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by two brothers & two sisters. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10am OCT 9, 2003 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Rushville with Rev. Roger Rudolf officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Rushville with military rites. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 8pm at Todd Funeral Home. The holy rosary will be recited at 8pm.
