| About | M. Pauline Self, 81, of Rushville, died Monday, April 6, 2009. Born Jan. 11, 1928 in Rushville, she was the daughter of Floyd Redden and Helen (McCane) Redden, both deceased. She married James D. Self May 17, 1947; he preceded her in death Nov. 7, 2007. Mrs. Self lived her entire life in Rushville and was a 1946 graduate of Rushville High School. She worked 38 years as a cafeteria employee with Rushville Consolidated High School. She was a lifetime member and past treasurer of Trinity United Presbyterian Church in Rushville. Survivors include son, Neil (Debbie) Self of Jefferson City, Mont.; daughter, Debbie (Ward) Farlow of Rushville; brother, Howard (Seraph) Redden of Rushville; grandson, Chad (Wendy) Walker of Rushville; step grandchildren, Laurie (Brian) Bennett of Bowling Brook, Ill. and Tory Wiseman of Helena, Mont.; and four great-grandchildren. Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by sister, Norma Miller, and grandson, Derk Walker. Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Trinity United Presbyterian Church with Pastor Mick Saunders officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Moster Mortuary in Rushville. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity United Presbyterian Church or the Boys & Girls Club of Rush County. |
