| About | Rushville Republican September 6, 2010 Marcus J. Wood, 46, of Rushville, passed away unexpectedly Sept. 4, 2010 at Rush Memorial Hospital. He was born Sept. 10, 1963 in New Castle, the son of the late Robert L. and Wilma M. (Kendall) Wood. He was married to the former Gail S. Lisby April 24, 1996 and she survives. "Woody," as most of his friends knew, him was a 1982 graduate of Rush Consolidated High School and then attended Vincennes University and then graduated from California College with degree in Respitory Therapy. He had worked in Connersville many years and currently at Major Hospital in Shelbyville as a Respitory Therapist. Fishing was more than a hobby with Marcus, it was a lifelong passion which he shared with his family and all who knew him. In addition to his wife Gail other survivors include his two daughters, Courtney and Abbigayle Wood of Rushville; step daughter, Heather Glad of Shelbyville; step grandson, Alexander Frazier of Shelbyville; brothers, David (Debbie) Wood of Greenwood and Matt (Susan) Wood of Shelbyville. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday Sept. 9, 2010 at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville. Burial will follow at Rushville's East Hill Cemetery. Friends are invited to call from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday Sept. 8 at the funeral home. |
