| About | Martha F. (Owens) Hatfield, 78, of Rushville, IN, passed away Oct. 7th, at Indiana University Medical Center, in Indianapolis. Martha was born Oct. 25, 1933 in Rushville, a daughter of the late William & Elsie (Herbert) Owens. She graduated from St. Mary Catholic School and then from Rushville High School in 1952. She had worked for many years as a custodian for Rush County Schools and also at Rush Memorial Hospital for 19 years. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and loved dances at the former Moose lodge and enjoyed reading and music. Those left to cherish her memory include two sons Bill (Pam) Hatfield & Scott Hatfield of Greensburg; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren, four nephews and one niece also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother James Crack Owens and two sisters Joanne Gates and infant twin Margaret Mae Owens. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Thursday Oct. 11th at St. Mary Catholic Church with Rev. Jeremy Gries as celebrant. Burial will follow at Rushville's Calvary Cemetery.
