About | Maurice F. Spilman 74, of Rushville, passed away April 5, 2005 at Millers Merry Manor in Rushville. He was born December 15, 1930 in New Salem, IN the son of the late Hubert O. & Bertha Manning Spilman. He married Betty G. Thomas January 26, 1952 and she survives. He was a 1948 graduate of Rushville High School. He was a self-employed truck driver for nearly 50 years. He worked with Charles Farthing and worked for Wilson Oil Company. He also contracted to Perkins, Able Transport & Fraley & Shilling Trucking. He was a member of Main Street Christian Church. Survivors include his wife Betty, three sons Derek (wife Charlotte), Kevin (wife Marilyn) of Rushville and Brian (wife Clarissa) of Arlington; one daughter Patricia (Mrs. Don) Letzler of Rushville; Six Grandchildren, Tracy, Danielle, Briana, Erica, Brock & Aaron as well as three step grandchildren also survive. He was preceded in death by two half brothers and one grandson. A Celebration of Life Service will be 10:00 AM Friday April 8, 2005 at Todd Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Deann Anderson and Chip West officiating. Burial will follow at East Hill Cemetery in Rushville. |
