About | Mary Wagner, 83, Rushville, died Saturday at her home. She was born Aug. 5, 1915, in Rushville, the daughter of John P. and Margaret (Schetgen) Wesling. She married Richard J. Wagner on Jan. 24, 1942, and he survives. Mrs. Wagner was the Rush County Court reporter for many years and worked as a legal secretary for Earnest, Foster, Eder, Levi & Northam. She attended Oldenburg Academy and graduated from Rushville High School in 1934. Mrs. Wagner was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church where she helped start the Over 50 Club. She was also a member of St. Vincent DePaul Society. Other survivors include two daughters, Kathy Wagner, Boston, Mass., and Elizabeth A. Osburn, New Palestine; two sons, Thomas R. Wagner, Richmond, and John M. Wagner, Rushville; three sisters, Catherine Wesling and Josephine Wesling, both of Sarasota, Fla., and Elizabeth Reigelsperger, Bradenton, Fla.; three brothers, Frederick Wesling, Pittsboro, Eugene Wesling, Sarasota, Fla., and Rudolph Wesling, Rushville; and seven grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother. A funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, Rushville, with the Rev. Roger Rudolf officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Rushville. Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Todd Funeral Home, Rushville. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday. Memorial contributions may be made to Decatur County Hospice or St. Mary Catholic School Foundation. |
